YorSpace hosted two public meetings on the 11th & 15th March. Our “What is Community Led Housing, then?” events were an opportunity for us to talk about community led housing in York to those who wanted to know more and to hear people’s views on our interest in the Lowfield Green development.

We spoke with people at Foxwood Community Centre and then at The Chill Cafe in Acomb – a big thank you to the venues for hosting and to those who came out and met with us!

It was great to see new as well as familiar faces over the two days – we really enjoyed talking through our vision for how housing can be delivered in York, answering questions on our model for delivery and our interest in Lowfield Green.

It was good to see recently signed up YorSpace members attending and learning more about our project and getting to know our team a bit better. We had our newly designed and printed leaflets out on display (Thanks to Phil for your time in pulling these together!).

We’re keen to keep meeting people in the Acomb area as we start to engage the local community to talk about our plans for Lowfield Green and share with your our thoughts on what we might deliver.

Interested people are encouraged to come along to meetings and sign up to become members – we are looking for prospective residents, investors or people who just want to show their support for our project!

Sign up and we’ll keep you posted on our upcoming meet ups!
